The Vektor board line was created with Vektor Fin Designs' goal to give you the highest performance board specifically designed for drop knee. Vektor incorporates the most advanced features into one board. The VDK-42 features single or double stringers, a lifted nose (nose rocker), a V-Tail (recomended option), the Vektor fin system and a DK specific template. This is the template that the Vektor team has developed through years of experimentation and is proven to work. This board is designed for the dedicated drop knee rider who wants to push his performance to the next level!
Hand shaped and made in the USA by Peter Anaya (PMA Customs)! Peter is always on the cutting edge of board design and we are stoked to be working with him. Vektor's goals and PMA's are the same, top quality and innovative design.

NOSE LIFT is one of the most important features to incorporate into a drop knee specific board. The “lift” gives the board the ability to direct itself above the surface of the water. This is a basic principle in hydrodynamics, but is only now being practically applied to bodyboarding. Nose lift will benefit you in every situation from critical maneuvers to times when you are just plaining and hit a chop.
V-TAILS are the preferred choice for drop knee riders. The benefits and theories of the full crescent and bat tail are incorporated into this design. Full crescent tails hold really well because of the angle of the tail penetrating into the water. Bat tails use more board mass to increase speed. V-Tails penetrate the water in the same way as full crescents do but have more mass giving it speed like a bat tail.
DOUBLE STRINGERS
Stringers will give you a stiffer board, better memory, longer board life, resists against creasing, and are great for heavier riders. Another factor to consider when deciding to ride a single or double stringer core is the temperature of the water that you ride in. In warmer water double stringers add stiffness and in colder water a single stringer works well with the temperature of the water. We offer a choice to give you the best performing board for your specific needs.
ABOUT VEKTOR FIN PLACEMENT
Knee and heel placement is measured in inch or half an inch increments starting from the tail of the board to the placement of the knee/heel pressure point. The pressure point is where you apply the most pressure on your board. You can identify the pressure point by observing approximately where the middle of the knee and heel is placed on your board.
