Phillip has been a professional bodyboarder traveling the world in search of perfect waves for years. His reputation was brought forth by his skills showing up in numerous videos and magazines. Mixing clean power surfing with airs and snaps, gives him a unique combination of an old school and new school style. Surfing Rincon has definitely given him that edge in his surfing to gain respect from both bodyboarders and surfers alike.

With Phill making frequent trips to Hawaii I was able to meet up and introduce him to Vektor fins. These shots were taken the day after installing them. This was his first test ride. After the session he stated that "I was able to make some deep barrels, getting deeper and making it out". With his feedback and extensive first hand knowledge we are able pack years of experience into the design of the fins.

Phillip doesn't just look at a bodyboard as a sponge but as a fine tuned vehicle. He has a log of every board he's ridden with specifications and notes on everything. He's constantly thinking of ways to improve performance. He is actually the first person to experiment with stringers and V tails, which today is a standard.
